Drop shipped via FedEx. What do I need to know?

Members who have their packages shipped via FedEx have several options to manage their delivery, such as requesting a package be held at a convenient FedEx location, rerouting to another location, or placing a temporary vacation hold. In order to manage deliveries, you will need to create a free FedEx account.

 


How do I create an account?

 

Customers can create a free FedEx account. Click here to set up your FedEx account. As an account holder, you can request a package be held at a secure FedEx location for pickup, deliver to another residential location (at least 24 hours prior to estimated delivery), or set a temporary hold.


How can I track my FedEx delivery?

 

Once your package has shipped, you will be provided a FedEx tracking number sent to you via email from Beer Drop. You can get more detailed information regarding your delivery through tracking on the FedEx website.


What are my options if I am not home at the time of delivery?

 

Beer Drop deliveries require a 21+ signature. If you are not going to be home at the time of delivery, below are a few options to arrange an alternative delivery method. All of these options are available through your FedEx account.

  • Hold for Pickup: Your package can be held for pick up at any convenient FedEx location, such as Walgreens, CVS, or a FedEx office. This option is free. The package will be held for 5 days at this location for you to pick up before being discarded.

  • Reroute to Alternative Residential Address: You can reroute your package to another residential location for an additional cost through FedEx.

  • Temporary Vacation Hold: If you are on vacation and unable to receive your package, you can place a vacation hold and the package will be held by FedEx for up to 14 days.


Once your package is shipped, any further inquiries regarding the delivery can be attained through the "Ask FedEx" help widget on the bottom right corner of the FedEx website. You will need to provide your tracking number for more accurate information about your delivery.
